IZ63805: CANNOT READ SDD DISKS APPLIES TO AIX 5300-08

Error description

• Passthru IOCTL such as DK_PASSTHRU or DKIOLCMD may have
  errors processed by the disk driver.  This can cause
  unattended reservation issued to the drive, when application
  issues IOCTL commands to disk drive.

  * with the devices.fcp.disk.rte fileset at the 5.3.8.7 level.

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:

Problem conclusion

• If a passthru IOCTL encounters an error, the disk driver
  will not perform error processing.  Error processing will be
  left up to application issuing IOCTL.
