IV91591: POWERHA: CLVER MAY CORE DUMP WHEN STARTING CLUSTER SERVICES

Direct link to fix

APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • Starting PowerHA cluster services on a node can fail due
to the clver command exiting abnormally and dumping core.
This may happen only when the "Ignore verification
    errors"
option option is set to false as by default.

The clver core has the following process stack:

    PROGRAM NAME
    clver
    STACK EXECUTION DISABLED
               0
    COME FROM ADDRESS REGISTER
    malloc_y 6E0

    PROCESSOR ID
      hw_fru_id: 2
      hw_cpu_id: 29

    ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

    malloc_y 6E4
    malloc_co 48
    malloc CC

Local fix

  • There is a work-around to start the cluster services up
with the "Ignore verification errors" option set to true.
