Error description

  • When an EEH condition is discovered, there is a very small
timing window where the CAPI adapter driver completes I/O
requests to upper layers by doing zero out or clearing SUE
error on user buffer. This could cause the upper layers that
the wrong data has been read from a CAPI device.

error on user buffer. This could cause the upper layers that
the wrong data has been read from a CAPI device.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • Fix command processing path in CAPI adapter device driver not
to zero out user buffer during EEH recovery condition. The EEH
condition could be due to an adapter FW update or any other
CAPI bus error.
