Error description

  • The following problems were observed on file collections
directory propagation:
1) Occasional propagation failures
2) Intermittent core dumps
3) HACMPfcmodtime filling with obsolete entries

Local fix

  • 



Problem summary


    

  • Propagation to a node fails if the communication path is a
short name and the CAA node name is fully qualified. Possible
core dumps. Superfluous HACMPfcmodtime entries. Mod time
entries updated when they shouldn't be.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • Communication path handling fixed, superfluous HACMPfcmodtime
creation removed, modtime updating fixed, case causing coredump
safeguarded against.
