IV87845: FC5899 ENTSTAT PRINTS 1818495488 FOR BAD PACKET COUNT IN NON-C APPLIES TO AIX 7100-03 17/01/27 PTF PECHANGE

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• The entstat command will print an incorrect
  value for the "Number of receive bad packets"
  statistic for certain 1GB network adapters
  when the locale is set to a value other than
  "C". In this case, it will always print
  1818495488 instead of the actual number.
  

Local fix

• Use LANG="C".
