APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • If the master_node_exclusive keyword is used in the
LoadL_admin file then other nodes can be erroneously
marked
as having this keyword set. This can prevent jobs from
running on these machines and can lead to jobs being
stuck
in Idle state forever.

Local fix

  • Take out all references to master_node_exclusive in the
LoadL_admin file and recycle Loadleveler on the entire
cluster.

Problem summary

  • When there are mutiple host group and some groups
have been configured with "master_node_exclusive",
in the running, the other groups may have the
"master_node_exclusive" effecitve occasionally.

Problem conclusion

  • In the LL configuration file parsing, for host
groups's "master_node_exclusive" parameter, the
"set" operation is not include in the condition
when the master_node_exclusive is acutally there.
It means that it m510 se nearest prevoious paramter's
"T510  value wrongly.
