APAR status

Error description

  • lkdev disks unlock while updating TL07->TL08
The customer will lose all customizations in the CuLk ODM
when updating AIX to TL08.
(All previously lkdev locked disks will become unlocked
during the update).

Local fix

  • 



Problem summary


    

  • The application of an update of the LPP, bos.rte.devices, can
cause the CuLk fle to be overwritten, thus erasing any locks
the user may have applied.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • This defect prevent the shipping of the CuLk file during the
update of the bos.rte.devices LPP, thus preventing the CuLk
file from being overwritten.
