Error description

  • If a previous rmcluster -S command failed, all subsequent
    attempts to remove the remote site may continue to fail with
    below error.
    
    # rmcluster -S Remote
    1035-283 rmcluster: Error querying for number of nodes.
    1035-307 rmcluster: Could not remove cluster.
    A file or directory in the path name does not exist.
    

Local fix

Problem summary

  • If a previous rmcluster -S command failed, all subsequent
    attempts to remove the remote site may continue to fail with
    below error.
    
    # rmcluster -S Remote
    1035-283 rmcluster: Error querying for number of nodes.
    1035-307 rmcluster: Could not remove cluster.
    A file or directory in the path name does not exist.
    

Problem conclusion

  • Allow the force option to remove stale entries of the remote
    node in the cluster
    
    # CAA_FORCE_ENABLED=true rmcluster -f -S Remote
