APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • Running 'aixpert -c' can shutdown/restart the inetd
daemon, as well as any other daemon controlled by inetd,
such as tftpd.
This is known to happen when the ntwkopts aixpert script
is used in rules that are applied.

Local fix

  • 



Problem summary


    

  • When running aixpert -c, the inetd or tftpd will be shutdown
and restarted if the ntwkopts script is run from aixpert.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • Modify the script so that when the no command is used it does
not modify any of the tunables.
