Problem summary

  • The system crashes with a stack trace similar to
    pvthread+090000 STACK:
     046B9938 udp_input0+001178 (0000000000000000,

     0461D6C0 ipintr_noqueue+000120 (??, ??, ??)
    while processing a multicast packet.

Problem conclusion

  • The UDP code is modified to handle the error condition and
not to access NULL pointers. This avoids the system crash.
