IV61560: AIX NFS4 CLIENT DOES NOT PROCESS REPLICAS WITH NFSROOT CONFIG

Error description

  • AIX NFSv4 client does not show replica server information
when the server is configured to use nfsroot (exname).
In this case the filesystem root (as seen by the client)
will not match what is actually exported. This causes
the client to disregard the replica server information.
The mount will work, but the "nfs4cl showfs" command will
not show the alternate servers.

Local fix

  • Do not use nfsroot/exname configuration with replicas.

Problem summary

  • Changes are in common code path hence require some amount of
testing clsoing as FIN
