  • system crash

Problem conclusion

  • 1) If a packet is not written out, and it is the last packet,
    and txdesc_chain is not NULL, then set ring_doorbell to TRUE.

    2) If the doorbell ring fails and it is not due to EEH, trigger
    a restart action to try and get the hardware back to a good
    operational state. If we are in EEH, just cleanup and exit as
    no more can be sent until EEH recovery.

    3) The entcore_unget_tx_desc routine needs a conditional to
    handle the case where the descriptors has already been written
    out.

    if (p_tx_desc->desc_state.bits.pulled_off_free_list) {
    p_tx_desc->desc_state.bits.pulled_off_free_list = 0; } else if
    (p_tx_desc->desc_state.bits.placed_on_used_list) {
    p_tx_desc->desc_state.bits.placed_on_used_list = 0; }

    ENTCORE_DEBUG_ASSERT(p_tx_desc->desc_state.all_bits == 0);
