Error description

  • When installing the bos.installer.si fileset, the
following entry is inserted into the /etc/inittab file:

#Begin AC Solution Install block
#Start the Cloudscape database server
si:23456789:wait:/usr/ibm/common/acsi/bin/acsisrv.sh
-start
#End AC Solution Install block

It uses "#" for comments instead of ":"

Local fix

  • Modify /etc/inittab and replace "#" with ":"

Problem summary

  • When installing the bos.installer.si fileset, the

Problem conclusion

  • The setup.jar is out of service.  Add readme instruction for
customer to download an updated versiom from Passport
Advantage website.
