APAR status

Error description

  • The ld command would display the undefined symbol error
    for
    a symbol being defined in an object file specified with
    the
    ld -o option.
    
    ld: 0711-317 ERROR: Undefined symbol: <symbol>
    

Local fix

  • The customer may specify the ld -bkeepfile option for the
    64 bit inode object file to avoid the error.

    64-bit inode numbers.

  • Appropriate code changes has been done in ld command to handle
    input files of file system using 64-bit inode numbers.
