If an SVC LUN that is in use is unmapped, the AIX SCSI disk driver may take a long time (several minutes) for I/O to fail. This could lead to issues with applications or with shared storage pools, if they are expecting failures to happen more quickly.

If an SVC LUN that is in use is unmapped, the AIX SCSI disk driver may take a long time (several minutes) for I/O to fail. This could lead to issues with applications or with shared storage pools, if they are expecting failures to happen more quickly.
Problem conclusion
Modified the PCM and SCSI disk driver to change the way that they handle the particular SCSI status that the SVC device returns when a LUN is unmapped on the SVC.
