  • After Updating global, syncwpar to a detached wpars
error:
syncwpar: 0960-818 The versioned WPAR 'wpar' cannot be
synchronized using 'syncwpar -D'.
Return Status = FAILURE.

Problem summary


    

  • Message below results from applying a new TL to an AIX 7.1
system with a native private WPAR, and then attempting to
synchronize the WPAR to the new level.
syncwpar: 0960-818 The versioned WPAR 'xxxxxx' cannot be
synchronized using 'syncwpar -D'.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • Incorrect alteration of the WPAR ostype field is now prevented.
