Error description

  • Errors for F_GETLK (lock test) calls are not
propagated back to the caller when issued over an NFSv4
mounted filesystem on AIX.
This applies only to AIX NFSv4 clients. AIX NFSv3 clients
work fine.

Local fix

  • None.
Since problem is specific to NFSv4, an option would be
to use NFSv3 mounts instead.
