Error description

  • After enabling the security cluster using the AES key,
the
communication between 2 nodes  no longer works.

Problem summary

  • After enabling cluster security using the AES key,
communication between nodes in some cases (large messages) is
broken:
# clctrl -sec -s AES -t self-sign
# stopsrc -s clcmd; sleep 1; startsrc -s clcomd
This could prevent sync & verify and clstart to fail with such
syslog messages as:
2013-11-05T12:58:09.373305(1289): clcomd.c: check_message:
4204: ERROR: max size = 8208
2013-11-05T12:58:09.373330(1289): clcomd.c: check_message:
4206: ERROR: Message is too large = 8212
2013-11-05T12:58:09.373354(1289): clcomd.c: check_message:
4207: ERROR: srv->size size: 8212

Problem conclusion

  • Modified check_message() call to account for boundary
condition.
