APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • A Hyperswap disk "resync" disk or group command could fail,
potentially causing Power HA to halt the disk or group. The
failure would indicate sense "0F11", which actually indicates
that the disk is already in the state that the resync command
    is trying to acheive.

Problem summary

  • A Hyperswap disk "resync" disk or group command could fail,
potentially causing Power HA to halt the disk or group. The
failure would indicate sense "0F11", which actually indicates
that the disk is already in the state that the resync command
    is trying to acheive.

Problem conclusion

  • Modified PCM to detect if the disk is already in the state
that a resync command is trying to acheive, and if so,
do not do the resync, or do not raise errors on the resync.
