Problem summary

    * Systems running the 7100-03 Technology Level with
    * devices.pciex.e4145616e4140518.rte below the 7.1.3.15 level.

    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
    * Customers using the FC 5899 adapter:
    * PCIe2 4-port 1 GbE Adapter (FC 5899; CCIN 576F)
    * may see errors when creating a SEA:
    * $ mkvdev -sea ent7 -vadapter ent4 -defaultid 1
    *
    * Setting real adapter ent7 in promiscuous mode failed with
    * error 69
    * Command did not complete
    *
    * Also, creating an Etherchannel on FC 5899 adapter will not
    * be usable, and MUSENT_TX_ERR errors will be seen in the
    * errpt

    * RECOMMENDATION:
    * Install APAR IV52765.
    **************************************************************
    

Problem conclusion

  • Increased boot completion time out for FC 5899 in device
    driver.
