IV51478: FILESYSTEM HANG WHILE RECOVERING FROM DEGRADED MODE APPLIES TO AIX 7100-03

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• This is a rare situation and does not happen during a
  regular Filesystem operation. The Filesystem was put into
  degraded mode. Next time when sync runs it will try to
  recover the Filesystem

Local fix

Problem summary

• This is a rare situation and does not happen during a
  regular Filesystem operation. The Filesystem was put into
  degraded mode. Next time when sync runs it will try to
  recover the Filesystem. This thread is the owner of the lock
  and waiting for same lock while holding it.
  

Problem conclusion

• Ensure proper handling of ipmnt->i_iplog lock/unlock
  sequence.
