Error description

  • In case of intermittent SAN connectivity outage, NPIV client
adapter goes into NPIV_LOGGING state and does not retry
previously failed logins, if the adapter is in opened state.

* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
* In case of intermittent SAN connectivity outage, NPIV client
* adapter goes into NPIV_LOGGING state and does not retry
* previously failed logins, if the adapter is in opened state.

* RECOMMENDATION:
* Install APAR IV41362.
* Prior to fix availability, an interim fix is available from
* ftp://public.dhe.ibm.com/aix/ifixes/iv41362/

retry logins.
