Error description

  • nimadm with nimsh and nim cache VG fails at nimadm phase
8
and returns below error. However nimadm with rsh and nim
cache VG runs successfully.

0505-158 nimadm: WARNING, unexpected result from the
 /alt_inst/tmp/init_br_chrp command.
ksh: /alt_inst/tmp/init_br_chrp: 0403-006 Execute
permission
 denied.
0505-184 nimadm: Error writing client boot image.

Local fix

  • Run nimadm under NIM communication method as rsh rather
than
 nimsh.

Problem summary

  • madm: unexpected result from /alt_inst/tmp/init_br_chrp
command.
 /alt_inst/tmp/init_br_chrp: 0403-006 Execute permission
 denied.  0505-184 nimadm: Error writing client boot image.
