This will happen if appliedaixpert.xml's size is an
exact multiple of 4096 bytes.

  • aixpert occasionally core dumps

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • If the generated xml file processed by aixpert is a multiple
of 4096, using mmap to map the file to memory does not put
a terminating null at the end of the allocated memory so some
string functions will not work and will cause a core dump.
