Error description
removing hdisks while using the AIX active / passive pcm / DS 3, 5 and 5K may result in a hang in the PCM
Local fix
this is an unlikely timing event and may be resolved by placing the hdisk in a defined state prior to rmdev -Rdl the fscsi adapter pr pci bus
Problem summary
rmpath/rmdev command run on the active path of an AIX active/ passive disk(DS3K/DS4K/DS5K) may hang. All further IO to the disk may hang.
Problem conclusion
It should be ensured by using a timer that the fail over command is sent down even when there is no current IO on the active path of the disk.
Temporary fix
