APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • Creating mksysb DVD image when both instances of bos
are mounted 5.3.9.1 and 6.1.5.1.  the system boots fine
on active bos after the restore but not from the standy
instance.

Local fix

  • After the restore
# bosboot -a -l /dev/bos_hd5
# bootlist -m normal hdiskx blv=bos_hd5
# shutdown -Fr
# multibos -B

Problem summary

  • Creating mksysb of system with two instances of the operating
system at different versions (multibos).  Installing with the
mksysb does not provide access to the second instance.

Problem conclusion

  • Populate second instance blv
