APAR status

  • Closed as unreproducible in next release.

Error description

  • Power Virtualization Center (PowerVC) Storage Connectivity Group
(SCG) constraints do not work perfectly for NovaLink hosts. In
a dual fabric & VIOS setup, when user likes to have each fabric
mapped to each VIOS, the zoning for a NovaLink hosts results in
lesser number of adapters than expected. This is because,
PowerVC end up mapping fabric to just one VIOS rather than all
    VIOS.

There is no specific error in the logs but user can identify
this issue by checking the number of adapters created as part of
a Virtual Machine deploy on a NovaLink host.

    Impact:
Lesser number of adapters and zones are created than desired as
    per SCG configuration.
