APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • The PowerHA scripts cl_dr and cl_2dr may no longer
be correctly registered with the AIX LPM Framework
after a PowerHA upgrade.  After the upgrade this
error is usually reported:
 # drmgr -l
    /usr/lib/dr/scripts/all/cl_2dr
          Invalid Script File...
    /usr/lib/dr/scripts/all/cl_dr
          Invalid Script File...
This can lead to possible issues during LPM of the
PowerHA node.

Local fix

  • After the PowerHA upgrade the problem is usually
corrected by running at each node:
 # drmgr -b
Afterwards check with 'drmgr -l' the two scripts
are registered correctly.

Problem summary

  • During cumulative installation cl_roha_lpm script was not
present at the time of registering dr script and due to that
drmgr -l command throwing below error:
/usr/lib/dr/scripts/all/cl_2dr Invalid Script File...
/usr/lib/dr/scripts/all/cl_dr Invalid Script File...

Problem conclusion

  • Modified the code to avoid to call cl_roha_lpm script from
cl_dr and cl_2dr scripts during registration
through drmgr command.
