Optional colon (:) is not supported in DB2 V6.1 (Re: V6 Release Guide SC26-9013-00 page 604 V6 Installation Guide GC26-9008-00 page 284) DBRMs precompiled with pre DB2 V2.3 precompile code and optional colon (:) can receive SQLCODE -104 when bound on DB2 V6 additional search arguments: 5740xyr00 r610 SQLCODE104 MSGDSNH107I, name is too long, max is 18 char ...... One solution is to precompile source on V5 precompiler and bind with new (V2.3) format DBRM. ......
