Error description

  • New install of DB2 R510 with MVS/ESA/522:
Abend0c1 in DSNVEUS3 during START DDF processing. This caused
DDF to hang. Further analysis of the 0c1 dump revealed the
customer doesn't have the correct level of code to use DB2's
TCP/IP support. To use this support, OS/390 (with OE) is a
    requirement.

Local fix

  • In order to use only the SNA support of DDF, customers running
DB2 V5.1 code will need to use the Change Log Inventory utility
to modify the BSDS to remove the SQL Listener port (PORT) and
    Resync Listener port (RESPORT).
