DB2 R410 experiencing shortage of CSA when using BMC products
Load Plus, Reorg Plus and Recovery Plus. Use procedure listed
in II05506 to determine if there was an unconditional request
for SP241 below the line. Refer to BMC ticket numbers 285822
and 289633 for more details. BMC fix was issued 5/13/96 on
latest release of the above products for use with DB2 V4.1.
    08/21/96 Update (storage growth in sp241-7) for DB2 v4:
Further analysis for another one of these problems shows
many x'4000' byte blocks obtained for locks via DSNSFBK

    06/12/96 - CICSMON with DB2 r310
    --------------------------------------------------------------
Landmark's CICSMON product has been reported to create a
CSA shortage which can prevent DB2 from terminating. The
CICSMON maintenance was in a May '96 CUM tape. No fix or
problem number info is available at this time.

06/20/96 - BMC LoadPlus or backlevel BMC product with DB2 v4
    --------------------------------------------------------------
    Two problems worth noting:
    1) DB2 short (or abbreviated) EB. The EB's length may be x'98'
    bytes...somewhat shorter than x'100' bytes for v4.
    Dump Title: DSN ,ABND=04E-00E50006,U=CA03 ,C=XYR00.410.SMC
                 -DSNSGPOL,M=DSNSVPL ,LOC=DSNSLD1 .DSNSVPL +184A
This failure has been reported with DB2 v4 users running
backlevel products which are not compatible with v4. BMC's
Activity Monitor is one of them. Also RC00E50006.
    2) BMC's LoadPlus CSA/SMP concern
(Contact BMC for fixes 285822 and 289633)
289633 is for the BMC Data Packer product

PLB - 2/11/97 - OVERLAY, SHB free chain ptr for DB2
This problem has surfaced three times. An SHB free
chain ptr is corrupted and/or overlayed. In each of
the three cases, the first two bytes of the address
has been corrupted with x'003C', x'0074', and x'0068'.
The cust reports that TMON/MVS fix TD00886 may have
fixed this problem on one of his symptoms. I will
    update this once verified.
    UPDATE: 02/28/97 PLB
For the overlay noted above, the TD00734 fix for Landmark's
TMON for MVS may have introduced the problem. Fix TD00886 is
    needed to fix it.
