Error description

  • This APAR documents changes to the DB2 Administration Guide
    Volume II which did not make the GA R230 Pubs. 5740xyr00
    sc26-4374-02 sc26437402.  Continuation of II05925.
    ============================================================
    Book Title: DB2 Admin Guide, Sec. 5: "Security and Auditing"
    Page Number: p. 5-50
    Change Description:

        Change the last sentence on the page to read as follows:

    Hence, objects not represented in the table cannot be created
    in the system, except by an ID with installation SYSADM
    authority.
    ===============================================================
    Book Title: DB2 Admin Guide, Sec. 5: "Security and Auditing"
    Page Number: p. 5-79
    Change Description:

     The first paragraph under "Define RACF User IDs for DB2
     Started Tasks" should now read like this:

    A DB2 subsystem has three started-task address spaces,
    ssnDBM1 for database services, ssnMSTR for system services,
    and ssnDIST for the distributed data facility, where ssn is
    the subsystem name. (Started-task names must end in
    DBM1, MSTR, or DIST and cannot be overridden.) You must
    associate each of those with a RACF user ID.
    Each of them can also be assigned a RACF group name.
    The DB2 address spaces cannot be started with batch jobs.

     That is, it is not necessary to associate each started-task
     address space with the *same* RACF user ID.
