Error description
A CICS REGION receives ABEND0C4 RC10 in IEAVEPST with REG14 pointing to IEAVEGLU + x'18'. This is the result of a cross memory post with a bad ECB being passed. In this case an OEM CICS monitor is doing the cross memory post. Please contact the IBM support center to verify the name of the OEM and their fix number. VERIFICATION STEPS: 1. IPCS STATUS FAILDATA. The psw will be in IEAVEPST possibly around offset x'BE0' for MVS/ESA R422 at UY86935. If you have no FAILDATA, this information can be found in the logrec record for the abend. 2. IPCS VERBX TRACE 'CURRENT'. Find the pgm 010 entry for the abend, this can be done with a search on the second word of the failing psw. Look above that line for an SRB. The unique fields for this trace entry are for REG15, REG0 and REG1. REG15 will have an asid in hex. Identify the job that runs in this asid. If this is an OEM CICS monitor, this is your problem. You can further verify this by the following: 3. IPCS L aaaaaaaa. STR(SRB). Where aaaaaaaa is the address in REG0 of the SRB trace entry. This is the SRB. Its PASID and ASCB fields will point to the OEM address space and the EP field will point to IEAVEPST. 4. If these verification steps do not match your problem, refer to II05965 for additional verification procedures.
