II05817: LOCAL DATE TIME EXITS NOT DRIVEN FOR DISTRIBUTED REQUESTS

Error description

• The user has a local date time exit to reformat date and
  time information to a desired appearance.
  This works for SQL targeted for local tables.  However,
  if an SQL statement references date and time columns at a
  remote table, the local exits are not driven and the data
  is returned in ISO format.  This is a restriction which is
  documented in the following DB2 manuals:
    1. Administration Guide Volume 2 (SC26-4374-1 for
         DB2 V2R2) page 4-48 under section entitled:
         'Queries sent to a distributed system'.
    2. SQL Reference (SC26-4380-1 for DB2 V2R2) page 31
         under section entitled:
         'Restrictions on the use of LOCAL Date/Time Formats'.
    This is also documented in the DB2 V2R3 publications.
  In a distributed environment, DB2 at the requesting site
  cannot know that the date/time format it receives from
  a server site is acceptable to the local exit routine.
  As a result, DB2 must always return ISO format on distributed
  SQL.
