  DURING -START DB2 CMD PROCESSING RESULTS FROM USER ERROR(S) THAT
  PREVENT DB2 CODE FROM INITIALIZING WITH REQUIRED MVS PROGRAM
  PROPERTIES TABLE (PPT) ATTRIBUTES.  MSGIEF188I MAY ALSO BE
  ISSUED ON THE CONSOLE ALONG WITH MSGIEA705I INDICATING SP229
  and ABENDB78 rc08 ISSUED TO THE CONSOLE.  DB2 LMOD DSNYASCP
  REQUIRES A PPT ENTRY GIVING IT KEY 7, SYSTEM TASK, AND
  NON-SWAPPABLE ATTRIBUTES AND THIS ENTRY IS IN THE MVS PPT
  DEFAULT MEMBER IEFSDPPT. DB2 LMOD DSNUTILB ALSO HAS AN ENTRY
  IN THIS MEMBER GIVING IT KEY 7. AN OVERRIDE OF THE DEFAULT PPT
  ENTRIES VIA MVS SYS1.PARMLIB MEMBER SCHED00 (SCHEDxx) WITH
  INCORRECT ATTRIBUTES IS ONE POSSIBLE CAUSE OF THE ABEND0C4
  DURING DB2 STARTUP. ANOTHER POSSIBLE CAUSE IS A NON-APF
  AUTHORIZED LIBRARY IN THE STEPLIB OR JOBLIB CONCATENATION OF
  THE DB2 STARTUP PROCS (IE DSNMSTR DSNDBM1) AS THIS CAUSES LOSS
  OF PPT ATTRIBUTES. THE DB2 INSTALLATION PROCEDURES SPECIFY
  THAT THE DSNLINK, DSNLOAD, AND DSNEXIT LIBS MUST BE APF
  AUTHORIZED.

  v4 customers can witness an abend0c4 DSNYASCP +85A
  (DSNYASCP at ptf un96417 level) on a MVC instruction
  when accessing the DB2 erly block. This failure occurs
  when starting DB2 after PPT stuff has been verified.
  The failure occurs when using the v3 erly block which
  has a length of x'78'. The v4 erly block's length is
  greater. So, DB2 is trying to access storage outside
  the erly block. See II08606 to update v3 erly code
  or better yet, use the v4 erly code to rectify problem.
  
  ADDITIONAL NOTES:
  ANY LIBRARY CONCATENATED WITH THE DSNLOAD LIBRARY MUST
  ALSO BE APF AUTHORIZED OR IT RESULTS IN DSNLOAD BEING
  NOT AUTHORIZED.  DSNUPROC STEPLIB MAY HAVE DFSORT LIBRARY
  CONCATENATED TO DSNLOAD AND IF DFSORT LIBRARY IS NOT
  APF AUTHORIZED, THEN DSNLOAD WILL NOT BE AUTHORIZED.
