DY47567: MISSING SEOF FOR RRDS WITH SPEED

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Missing SEOF mark in the begining of the CA following the last
  preformatted CA of SPEED RRDS cluster. Instead, that CA is partl
  y preformatted leaving number of non-formatted CIs at the end.

  During initial load of the dataset, Software-End-OF-File
  is expected to be wirtten in the begining of the CA following
  the last preformatted CA(unless it's the last CA of an extent)
  -------------------------------------------------------------
  This issue may lead to the errors in 3rd party applications depe
  ndent on SEOF records.
  (0P17i FILE PROT error on processing such dataset with CA-FAVER)
  At the same time VSAM can process such datasets without problems
  using HUSRBA to identify the End-of-Data.

  filled with zeroes) is expected to be wirtten in the first
  Control interval following the last preformatted CA (unless
  it's the last CA of an extent)
  In case of SPEED RRDS dataset that SEOF mark is missing and
  the last CA partially preformatted leaving number of
  non-formatted CIs at the end.
  This issue may lead to the errors in 3rd party applications
  dependent on SEOF records.
