The problem might take place when
BLDINDEX is issued with INTERNALSORT option (set by default)

Problem conclusion

  • Error took place in IDCBI01 code because of the GETVIS area
allocated for Sort-Merge Tree might not fit all the entries.
It can happen in small partition when large number of base
records is being sorted.
Provided fix carefully calculates the required SMT area size
based on several factors.
