IBM Tivoli Netcool/Impact V7.1.0 Interim Fix 6 (7.1.0.13-TIV-NCI-IF0006)

Installation Instructions

   * Installing this Interim Fix:

      [Interim Fix] Refers to the directory where this Interim Fix resides (after you have extracted it from the zip file).

      For example: /tmp/7.1.0.13-TIV-NCI-IF0006

      On the Netcool/Impact server system:

        Navigate to the [Interim Fix] directory where the files were extracted.

        Install the Interim Fix with the same user that was used to install Netcool/Impact 7.1.0.13 release.

      All Netcool/Impact servers
      ===================================================
       1.) Stop the Netcool/Impact server(s)
       2.) Open a command prompt and change to the unzip directory  
       3.) To install Interim Fix 6,

           If you are on a Windows operating system, run the following command from a prompt:       
 
             install_IF.bat IMPACT_HOME

           If you are on a Unix operating system, run the following command from a prompt:

             chmod 744 install_IF.sh

             ./install_IF.sh IMPACT_HOME
           
           Where IMPACT_HOME is the directory where Impact is installed

           NOTE: There is no GUI mode for this Interim Fix.

           The above script execution should complete with the statement "BUILD SUCCESSFUL"

       5.) IMPORTANT: Remove Liberty workarea directories

             rm -rf IMPACT_HOME/wlp/usr/servers/[ImpactUIName]/workarea
             rm -rf IMPACT_HOME/wlp/usr/servers/[ImpactServerInstanceName]/workarea
        
        6.) Start the Netcool/Impact server
 
        7.) Clear your browser cache

   * Uninstalling this Interim Fix

   Please note: This Interim Fix must be uninstalled on each Impact server(s)

   On the Netcool/Impact server system:

        Uninstall the Interim Fix with the same user that was used to install Impact 7.1.0.13 IF0006.
    
    1.) Stop the Impact server(s)

    2.) Navigate to the backup directory where the files were backed up by the Impact 7.1.0.13 IF0006 installer:
         [IMPACT_HOME]/backup/install_IF/7.1.0.13_IF0006

        For example: /opt/IBM/tivoli/impact/backup/install_IF/7.1.0.13_IF0006

    3.) Issue the following command:
          ./uninstall_IF.sh       (Unix)
          uninstall_IF.bat   (Windows)

         The above script execution should complete with the statement  "BUILD SUCCESSFUL"

    4.) Start the Impact Server(s)
