Question
What editions of Microsoft Visual Studio can I install IBM Rational Functional Tester into?
 
Answer
  • Rational Functional Tester supports Microsoft Visual Studio Standard Edition and Professional Edition.
  • Other editions such as Express and Team are not supported.
  • Premier Partner Edition (which you can install as part of SQL 2005) is not supported. See technote 1315941 for details.

Additional notes:
  • Microsoft Visual Studio must be installed before IBM Rational Functional Tester.
  • When installing Visual Studio, you must install the VB.NET component (this will be enabled by default).
  • Microsoft Visual Studio versions 2003 and 2005 are supported.
  • Visual Studio version 2008 is not currently supported.
