Abstract
This technote summarizes the Operating Systems, Databases, Web Browsers, Web Servers and Hosted Development Environments are supported by IBM® Rational® ClearQuest® 7.1.x.

GLOSSARY:

Hardware: The Hardware upon which ClearQuest is supported.

Operating System: The operating system which ClearQuest is supported.

Revision: Operating System Patch or Service Release or selected Version on which ClearQuest is supported

For newly released operating system versions: Upon release of a new version of a currently supported operating system, IBM Rational will evaluate adding ClearQuest support for the new version after 90 days. Support will be extended to the latest supported release of ClearQuest; older ClearQuest releases will be evaluated on a case by case basis.

For newly released operating system updates: When a new update to a supported operating system is released, IBM Rational will consider adding ClearQuest support for this update after 90 days. Support for OS updates will generally be extended to all ClearQuest supported releases that support the underlying OS.

These statements represent IBM Rational’s intended strategy for adding platform support. IBM Rational reserves the right to amend, make adjustments to, or otherwise change these plans at any time.

For any operating system version not currently listed in the tables, please refer to the IBM Rational Software RFE Community where you can search for existing support requests or submit a new request.

Supported Database Servers for a ClearQuest 7.1.x Environment


Note: All database versions and editions (both 32 and 64 bit) are supported on Windows, AIX, Solaris and Linux operating systems according to vendor platform requirements unless otherwise noted. Databases on HP-UX are supported as noted in the table below.

Note: Mainframe database support for IBM S/390® zSeries® with a Linux partition only. Redhat Linux x86 RHEL 4 (Update 3).

ClearQuest 7.1.x Supported Web Application Servers


In addition to the CM Server that is used by default for the ClearQuest Web server, it is also possible to use an IBM Websphere® Web Application server.
