Directory size planning guidance:

Blogs

Default = 4 MB

Allocate 4 MB multiplied by the number of Blogs being hosted.

Recommend 400 MB to start.

The icons that are displayed on Bookmarks are stored in the FavIcons file directory.

This directory must have at least 150 MB of space for a deployment with 250,000 bookmarks.

Each message store requires 500 MB.

Standalone deployment: 1 message store for each server.

Network Deployment: 1 message store for each cluster.

The disk space requirement for the search index is dependent on the amount of content in the individual Lotus Connections features and this requirement will grow as the Lotus Connections content grows.

To allow for operations such as index optimization, allocate disk space at least three times the size of the index directory.
