This document describes how to download IBM Lotus Domino 8.0.2 using the Passport Advantage Online Web site.

Space requirements - Windows, AIX, Linux, Solaris

  • RAM - 512 MB or more is recommended
  • Disk space - 1.5 GB or more is recommended
  • Disk swap space - 2 times physical RAM installed (Windows, AIX, Linux); 3 times physical RAM installed (Solaris)

Space requirements - System i

  • RAM - 512 MB or more is recommended
  • Disk space - 2 GB or more is recommended

Space requirements - System z

  • RAM - 2 GB or more is recommended
  • Disk space - 3 3390-3 volumes minimum

Space requirements - Linux on System z

  • RAM - 2 GB or more is recommended
  • Disk space - 2.5 GB or more is recommended

Downloading and assembling the product
1. Download all of the parts that you need, both required and optional.
2. Unpack each of the parts into a single temporary directory on your system.
3. Follow the instructions in the Quick Start Guide to install the product.

  • Novell SUSE Linux Enterprise Server (SLES) 10 on IBM System z (64-bit)
  • RedHat Enterprise Linux 5 on IBM System z (64-bit)
  • Solaris 10 (UltraSPARC III and higher) (64-bit kernel)
  • IBM AIX 5.3 and 6.1 (64-bit kernel)
  • IBM System z: z/OS 1.7 or later; z/OSe 1.7 or later

64-bit

  • Microsoft Windows 2003 Server x64 Edition
  • 64-bit IBM AIX 5.3 and 6.1
  • IBM System i: IBM i5/OS V5R4 and V6R1

Note: i5/OS only runs on 64-bit hardware and has been enabled for 64-bit for a long time. i5/OS also provides 128-bit pointer capability. This means that all software that runs on i5/OS, including Domino, is 64-bit capable and typically uses 128-bit pointers.
