Can you use Lotus Quickr 8.1 Connectors with Notes 8.0.2?

| | | | Question | | After installing the Quickr Connectors for Lotus® Quickr™ 8.1 for use with a Lotus Notes® 8.0.2 client sidebar, the Quickr Connectors do not work as expected. Are the Quickr 8.1 Connectors supported for use with Notes 8.0.2? | | | | | Answer | | Currently, the Lotus Quickr 8.1 Quickr Connectors have a limited support with the Notes 8.0.2 client. A hotfix for the Connectors, beginning with Hotfix 7 or later, is available that resolves the installation issues with the sidebar in the Notes 8.0.2 client.
This fix is available from IBM Fix Central. For a direct link to the latest fix, refer to "Latest fixes for Lotus Quickr 8.1 services for Lotus Domino" (#4018711).
To successfully apply the Connector fix, make sure the Notes client is closed before applying it.
If you continue to encounter problems with the Lotus Quickr Connectors and Notes 8.0.2 after applying the latest hotfix, report these to IBM Lotus Support for problem determination and resolution.
