Question
What software should be installed before attempting to install Lotus Enterprise Integrator® (LEI) on i5/OS® versions V5R4 or V6R1?
 
Answer
Make sure the applications below are installed as listed by i5/OS version.
V5R4

5722SS1 Option 30 which is the OS/400 Qshell Interpreter
5722SS1 Option 33 OS/400 - Portable App Solutions Environment (PASE)

5722JV1 Option *BASE Developer Kit for Java

5722JV1 5 Java Developer Kit 1.3
5722JV1 6 Java Developer Kit 1.4
5722JV1 7 Java Developer Kit 5.0
5722JV1 8 J2SE 5.0 32 bit

5722JC1 Option *BASE Toolbox for Java
SF99291 Latest Java Group PTF

5799PTL Option *BASE which is the IBM eServer iSeries Tools for Developers

    NOTE: There are two releases of 5799PTL: V4R5M1 and V5R4. The V5R4M0 release of 5799PTL will install and run on either V5R4 or V6R1 of i5/OS. It will not install on V5R3 of i5/OS. The V4R5M1 release of 5799PTL will install and run on V5R4 and earlier releases of i5/OS. It will not install on V6R1 of i5/OS and later releases. The V5R4M0 5799PTL product will support LEI R7.0.3, R8.0.1 and later releases.

The matching release of Lotus Domino® must already be installed.

An issue in which LEI did not install on V6R was reported to Quality Engineering as SPR# TDEY6YWKW8 and has been fixed.
