Notes 5.0.2 Full Text Search Does Not Support GBK (Chinese) Character Set

Question
In Notes 5.0.2, an issue was introduced in which the full text search does not support the GBK (Chinese) character set.
GBK is the extended GB character set that contains nearly all Chinese characters.
 
Answer
This issue was reported to Lotus Quality Engineering and has been addressed in Notes 5.0.2b and Notes 5.0.3.

    • SPR# YXUU4CVVMW - Fix a problem introduced in R5.0.2 in which full-text search did not support the GBK character set (Chinese). [5.0.3,5.0.2b]
Supporting Information:

NOTE: The issue occurs in R5.0.2 and R5.0.2a only. It does not occur in prior Notes 5.x releases.
