Question
In Notes 5.0.2, an issue was introduced in which the full text search does not support the GBK (Chinese) character set.
GBK is the extended GB character set that contains nearly all Chinese characters.
Answer
This issue was reported to Lotus Quality Engineering and has been addressed in Notes 5.0.2b and Notes 5.0.3. Excerpt from the Lotus Notes and Lotus Domino Release 5.0.2b QMU and 5.0.3 QMR fix list:
