z/OS Communications Server has an information center specifically designed to help solve your common networking problems.The information center contains tutorials, trouble-shooting guides and white papers as well as links to technotes and product publications.

You will find information about how to research common problems and things you can do to solve your problem, as well as educate yourself in the workings of z/OS Communications Server.

On the IP side, there are numerous trouble-shooting guides on a variety of topics, including:

• PING failures
• device trouble (what you can do when devices fail to start or fail)
• how to solve secure Telnet problems
• what to do when you can't establish a Telnet connection.

Installation instructions

1. Download the attached file.
2. Install the file. The package is compressed in ZIP format. You can install this package on your own system, or on a server. Decide where you want to put the files and extract them with the 'create directory' option. Once the extraction is complete, use a web browser to open the index.html file.
