Activating key rings for FTP
|
| | | Question | | After updating an existing key ring or changing to a new key ring, how do I activate the key ring for the FTP client and FTP server? | | | | | | Answer | If FTP client or server is using TLSMECHANISM ATTLS, the AT-TLS policy will need to be updated to reflect the new key ring
- If the key ring was updated, the AT-TLS policy can be refreshed by updating the EnvironmentUserInstance parameter in the TTLSEnvironmentAction statement that references the key ring. If a new key ring was created, change the Keyring parameter of the TTLSKeyringParms statement to specify the new key ring.
- Use the F pagentproc,UPDATE command to have policy agent process the AT-TLS policy update.
If the FTP client or server is using TLSMECHANISM FTP, the FTP.DATA file may need to be updated
- If the key ring was updated, no further action is required. The next invocation of the FTP client or the next connection to the FTP server will use the updated key ring
- If a new key ring was created, change the Keyring statement of the FTP.DATA file being used by the FTP client and FTP server. The next invocation of the FTP client will use the new key ring. Recycle the FTP server to process the new Keyring statement.
