Question: Does DB2 Records Manager Version 4.1.4 support DB2 Content Manager Version 8.4?
Answer: No. DB2 Records Manager V4.1.4 and DB2 Content Manager Records Enabler V8.3 do not support DB2 Content Manager V8.4. DB2 Records Manager customers should not upgrade to DB2 Content Manager V8.4 until they have upgraded IBM DB2 Records Manager and IBM DB2 Content Manager Records Enabler to a newer version.
DB2 Records Manager V4.1.4 is provided as the generally available (GA) alternative for the DB2 Records Manager V4.1.3.x Limited Availability (LA) releases which became available in January 2007. DB2 Records Manager V4.1.4 includes:
Resolutions for issues identified during the DB2 Records Manager V4.1.3 Limited Availability program, including clarification of the installation procedures.
Performance improvements resolving issues reported by customers.
DB2 Records Manager V4.1.4 supports the following DB2 Content Manager releases:
DB2 Content Manager V8.3 Fix Pack 4 by way of DB2 Content Manager Records Enabler V8.3 Fix Pack 4a
DB2 Content Manager V8.3 Fix Pack 7 by way of DB2 Content Manager Records Enabler V8.3 Fix Pack 4a
Question: What is the upgrade path for existing DB2 Records Manager customers?
Answer:
DB2 Records Manager V4.1.2.x customers can upgrade to DB2 Records Manager V4.1.4.
DB2 Records Manager V4.1.3.x Limited Availability customers do not upgrade to DB2 Records Manager V4.1.4.
Limited Availability customers already have the issue resolutions and performance improvements found in DB2 Records Manager V4.1.4 and will continue to use the Limited Availability release.
DB2 Records Manager V4.1.4 (available as a download from the product Support site) requires:
DB2 Records Manager V4.1.1 (available from Passport Advantage).
