This document contains the readme file for IBM® IMS™ Enterprise Suite Version 1.1 DLIModel utility plug-in.

The readme file contains a cumulative list of changes to the DLIModel utility plug-in component, related installation information, and known issues and workaround.

The latest service level is Fix Pack 2.

Obtaining the fix pack

You can obtain the DLIModel utility plug-in fix pack 2 in two ways:


Installation information
Prerequisite: You must have IMS Enterprise Suite Version 1.1 DLIModel utility plug-in already installed. See the installation information in the information center.

Use the Update feature in IBM Installation Manager to install the fix pack.

List of updates
Fix Pack 2 contains the following fixes:
  • APAR PM11121

    1. A new version of the DLIDatabaseView class is included that is used by the IMS JDBC Universal drivers at run time.

    • The DLIDatabaseView constructor and addDatabase method include:
      • dbType: Specifies the type of the database referenced by this PCB.
      • checkSegLevel: True if the PCB contains any logical children that have root segments from a direct-access method database.
    • The DLISegment include:
      • dbType: Specifies the type of the physical database for the segment.
      • checkFieldLevel: True if the segment contains any unique key fields from a direct-access method database. If checkFieldLevel is true, checkSegLevel should also be true.
      • minByte, maxByte: Specifies the minimum and maximum values for a variable length segment.
    • The DLITypeInfo include:
      • dbType: Specifies the type of the physical database for the field.
      • isRoot: True if the field is a unique key from a direct-access method database. If isRoot is true, checkFieldLevel and checkSegLevel should also be true.
Fix Pack 2 also contains the following fixes in Fix Pack 1:
  • APAR PM05637
    1. The DLIModel utility plug-in does not support PIC G(n) during COBOL copybook import .
    2. The DLIModel utility plug-in does not provide the capability to specify CCSID for national language environments.
    3. The DLIModel utility plug-in issues an error message for a HISAM database that has only one root segment and no OVFL statement.
