DUC: Installing Notes runtime on a Cisco Unity voice server running on Windows 2003

Abstract
As part of the joint solution provided by IBM® and Cisco for Lotus® Domino® Unified Communications, the Cisco Unity voice server requires installation of the Notes® runtime.
 
In order to accomodate support of Windows® 2003 for the Unity voice server, IBM and Cisco are in agreement to allow use of the Notes client as a vehicle to install the Notes runtime.

Note that this is not a departure from system requirements which state "the Notes release 6 and 7 client will not be supported on Windows 2003." Operation of the Notes client on Windows 2003 remains unsupported.

During setup of the Unity server on Windows 2003, should you encounter a problem during the install and setup of the Notes client (where the Notes runtime is installed), contact Cisco for assistance. In turn, Cisco will work with IBM to investigate possible solutions to getting the Notes runtime installed.
